"The lighting states you created for each routine were fantastic. What a lot of people forget is that when asking a choreographer or director what lighting they want, we don't know how to explain it because it's not our area of expertise. What I appreciated from you is that you asked all the right questions:
- What's the music?
- Are there any changes during the music?
- Does anyone need to be featured?
- What colour are the costumes?
And so on. By doing this you produced exactly what I wanted even though I couldn't technically explain it.
Your overall professionalism, enthusiasm and work ethic is outstanding. People feed off positive energy and the way you obviously enjoy what you do created a great atmosphere. The students call you the 'dancing light man', and with not having a live audience I think your energy on the day really helped them perform.
I'm not able to give technical feedback on lighting as I'm a dance teacher!! But what I can say is that the rig and facilities were top quality and you used it all to its full potential. No detail was overlooked and your work enhanced the performance to a professional standard."
